Château de la Cour d'Argent Bordeaux 2010
|Brand||Château de la Cour d'Argent|
Wine SpectatorDark and winey, this flirts with overripe, as the plum skin, raisin, fig and blackberry notes meld together. There's a good tangy roasted mesquite edge and dark spice pumping through the finish, but the raisiny edge on the finish is pushing it a bit. Drink now through 2015.
Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Cours d'Argent is 100% Merlot, bottled unfined and unfiltered, which is unusual at this price point and level of Bordeaux. It tips the scales at 13.5% alcohol, so it is obviously made from ripe fruit. Dense ruby with notes of berry fruit, some sweet herbs and white chocolate, this heady, straightforward wine should drink nicely for another several years.
