Deep, black cherry color. Aromas of red fruit embodied with toffee oaky hints from the aging in French barrel revealing a sweety and fruity wine on the mouth. Reminiscences of ripen fruit and liquorice. It offers a pleasant and soft aftertaste.

The entry-level here is the 2018 Pruno, which follows the line of the 2016. It's mostly Tempranillo with 9% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented for three weeks and matured in French barrels for 11 months. It's clean and quite fruit-driven, approachable and juicy, with integrated oak. Very pleasant, with very good freshness. There were 545,000 bottles, 2,000 magnums and 100 double magnums produced and bottled in four different lots. I tasted a bottle from the first lot.

This red offers lots of freshness, with dark cherry, graphite and savory spice notes that are underscored with wild herb and black tea elements. Moderate, integrated tannins offer nice structure through the citrusy finish. Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2023. 50,000 cases made, 5,000 cases imported.
