This great wine is deep garnet red with orange nuances, and has a lingering varietal nose hinting at red fruit and underbrush merging with spicy aromas. The taste is nicely-balanced and silky.

Wine EnthusiastThis structured wine opens with earthy aromas of tilled soil, underbrush, leather, cedar, bright berries and baking spices. The vibrant palate displays classic Nebbiolo flavors of crushed dark cherry, clove, cinnamon, truffle, sage, thyme and licorice alongside brisk acidity and bracing but noble tannins. It will bloom into a beauty. Drink 2020-2040.

Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is a very nice surprise with some sweet almond (just a touch) next to traditional aromas. It is very satisfying, with pretty, dusty tannins, and showing big intensity. This is a real treat with some youthful sourness that needs to blow off with time. It is dusty, etched and showing very linear finesses. Drink: 2016-2030.
