I appreciate this modestly priced, Willamette Valley 2016 Pinot Noir from Torii Mor, as it performs as well as the more expensive bottlings in the portfolio. It has a medium ruby color and classically styled nose of cola, woodsmoke, cranberry and pomegranate with blackberry hints and an earthy undercurrent. The palate is light-bodied and fresh with saline accents, a soft, lightly chalky frame and vibrant acidity, finishing long.

A mellow array of red cherries with some sappy and leafy nuances, leading to a smooth palate that has gently creamy texture and a soft, approachable feel. Drink now. Screw cap.

Svelte and tightly focused, with direct cherry and orange blossom accents that end with refined tannins. Drink now through 2023. 3,400 cases made.

Lightly herbal and earthy, what fruit is here mixes strawberry and watermelon, with a bit of celery. Except for the color and tannins, this could be a rosé, and should probably be consumed over the next year.
