Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, white pear, flowers, and orange citrus fruit. On the palate, it has beautiful structure and acidity similar to Sauvignon Blanc along with enticing fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors. Fruity, floral and yet still quite dry, this wine has to be tasted to be believed. Best enjoyed in its youth either by itself, or as a wonderful partner with smoked meats, mild to medium-strong cheeses, and seafood (especially crab!).

International Wine CellarPale green-tinged yellow. Peach and soft citrus aromas are accented by a touch of spice. Rich, chewy, complex and dry, showing an almost oily texture to the flavors of yellow peach, pineapple, pear and anise lifted by flowers. Offers a terrific combination of chewy texture and inner-mouth energy. Finishes sappy, saline and long, with excellent grip. This has the umami texture to complement sushi and sashimi. This bottling is consistently excellent--and a top value.

Wine AdvocateThe 2013 Crios Torrontes comes from Cafayate in Salta and Altamira in Uco Valley, Mendoza, approximately 50/50. It is quite aromatic and showy, with notes of flowers, lime, spice (white pepper) and talcum powder, a crisp and light palate, as well as lively citric acidity and hints of pears and rose petals that remind me of a Gewurztraminer. A benchmark un-oaked Torrontes. Drink now-2016.
