Chateau du Seuil Graves 2012
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Graves|
|Brand||Chateau du Seuil|
There is a strongly herbaceous, almost cat-like character in this wine that hints at New Zealand. At the same time, the weight and structure is all Bordeaux. It's a wine from a good white-wine vintage showing touches of wood as well as intense fruitiness. Drink from 2015.
A textbook version, with a briary, lightly chewy edge to the steeped plum, blackberry and anise notes, giving way to a tarry spine on the finish. Should mellow nicely with modest cellaring. Drink now through 2018. 3,330 cases made.
