Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Padrillos Malbec is sourced from the Uco Valley, cold fermented in stainless steel with 20% inner staves. The wine is clean and straightforward with aromas of cherries and violets plus a faint hint of spices. The palate is fresh, medium-bodied, easy to drink. 300,000 bottles produced.

Wine SpectatorA crisp style, with flavors of red plum and dried berry that are fresh and savory. White pepper on the finish. Drink now. 20,500 cases imported.

Wine EnthusiastSoapy, floral aromas are more like those of a scented candle than most Malbecs. Next is an astringent, raw palate with sketchy plum flavors and bitterness to the finish. This doesn't taste convincingly natural.
