Medium ruby. On the nose, ripe plums, cherries and blackberries are complemented by a hint of tobacco. A balanced and complex wine with flavors of redcurrants, black cherries and cinnamon.

From Los Arboles and Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, the 2020 Malbec Salentein Reserva spent 12 months aging in 70% French and 30% American barrels. The perfumed nose offers hints of violet, aguaribay, plum and pencil box. It's juicy on the palate with a terse texture. Grippy tannins lay down an outline enhanced by the well-judged freshness which also keeps the finish going. An intense wine.
