This vintage, our Landslide Vineyard produced a wine that is youthful, full bodied, elegant, and welcoming. It's a wine to watch grow and develop. Opaque deep red with a vibrant ruby edge. The nose shows cassis, red plum, and black cherry before opening up to cocoa, vanilla, and baking spice with toast, sweet herb, and floral notes. Inviting, fresh, and intriguing, this wine will continue to integrate flavors and aromas over time. On the palate, red berries, cassis, blackberry, and plum. Structured and elegant with balanced acidity. Fresh red fruit on the entry followed by a broad mid-palate. Toasty, sweet oak frames the fruit and lends structure. The wine finishes with supple, ripe tannins and bittersweet cocoa. The acid balance makes this wine inviting, rich, and delicious.
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with wood-grilled rib-eye with braised wild mushrooms, lamb loin with red pepper and onions, or pappardelle pasta with tomato and black pepper ragu.

I loved the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Landslide (there's 6% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec in the blend). It's a concentrated, rich, medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that has lots of black raspberry, spice, dried soils, and graphite aromas and flavors. With plenty of mid-palate oomph, ripe tannin, and a good finish, it should drink nicely for 10-12 years, if not longer.

Reduced and tannic, this is a full-bodied highly concentrated and robust wine, softly approachable with moderate red and black fruit and a lasting sense of herbaceousness.

Shows mature notes of cedar, dried dark berry and crushed rock, with edgy tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2023.
