The 2015 Emotion is a blend of 28% Syrah, 26% Grenache, 24% Carignan, 15% Cinsault and 7% Mourvèdre, all aged a year in older demi-muids and 500-liter casks. At only 13.5% alcohol, it's a bit more medium-bodied than many of its neighbors, but it remains a concentrated yet supple wine. It's red-fruited and has overtones of savory spice (think allspice, cracked pepper and star anise) and a bright, juicy finish. Definitely a bargain worth seeking out.
