Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
|Region||Australia, Western Australia, Margaret River|
Another striking beauty from the world-class Cabernet epicenter of Margaret River. While crushed & destemmed, it was fermented with 33% left on its skins for 4 weeks, then matured for 14 months in French oak (40% new). This tasty 2015 Cab Sauv presents inky purple in color, giving way to a ruby-hued rim. Freshly crushed blackberry and blackcurrant notes lift out of the glass. While fleshy, juicy black cherry & blackberry notes resonate on the palate. Energetic and vibrant with additional layers of savory spices like subtly sweet cedar, spearmint, and clove. Firm tannins, crunchy acidity, and a long, berry-driven finish. Drink now – 2027.
Very attractive and ripe boysenberries, mulberries and red plum compote with leafy aromas of bracken. The palate is very refined with tannins that are nicely arranged in a long elegant shape. There’s a succulent streak of tangy redcurrants, red cherries and plums.
