The 2018 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a comparatively rich bouquet of peach, linseed and a very subtle petrolly aroma. The palate is well balanced with a bitter lemon note on the entry. This is more saline and spicier than the Vaillons, featuring stem ginger and menthol on the finish. An attractive Fourchaume that should give a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.
