Showing the quality of the vintage, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a deep purple hue as well as textbook Stags Leap notes of vivid blue fruits, tobacco, spice box, and graphite. This medium to full-bodied effort has lively acidity, a seamless, elegant texture, and light tannins. I suspect it's going to put on weight over the course of its élevage and, as with most 2018s, drink nicely with just short-term cellaring.
