Golden yellow color. The fineness of this Champagne is evident beginning with the quality of the bubbles which form a persistent mousse at the rim. Powerful yet refined on the nose, the bouquet opens with notes of red fruit and fresh pastries. On the palate, there is a delightful effervescence which complements the unctuous, fruity quality of this Champagne. Very well balanced cuvée which can be consumed either as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to the main meal.

Disgorged in July 2018 with eight grams per liter dosage, Secondé's NV Brut Blanc de Noirs Sillery Grand Cru La Loge offers up a youthful bouquet of minty apples, spices and blanched almonds, followed by a medium to full-bodied, tightly wound palate with a tangy girdle of acidity, good depth and concentration and a chalky finish, displaying a youthfully frothy mousse. It's a powerful wine that's so young as to be relatively inscrutable, but it appears to possess promising potential. Drink Date: 2020-2033.
