The 2017 Santenay Clos de Tavannes 1er Cru has a slightly odd nose, showing a metallic reduction that should blow off by the time this is in bottle. The palate is rounded and well balanced in the entry with quite lush mulberry and raspberry notes, dovetailing into a lightly spiced and long finish. Fine.
