Toasted almond and toffee notes mingle into ripe lemon and pear in this silky, cream-textured white. Judiciously oaked and luscious yet bright eyed in fruit character, it’s a smart village-level Chassagne-Montrachet with a steely, lingering finish. Ready now, the wine should drink well through 2029. Editors’ Choice.

A much more sauvage nose features notes of petrol, resin, underbrush and poached pear. There is excellent volume to the very rich and solidly concentrated flavors that possess evident power on the mildly rustic finish. This isn't refined but it's a very good Chassagne villages.

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Villages has quite a feisty nose that might miss the refinement of Jadot's other Village Crus. The palate is well-balanced, though, with fine acidity and plenty of orchard fruit mixed with subtle peppery notes towards the finish. Straightforward yet well-crafted.

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet (Maison Louis Jadot) is a strong performance for this sizable cuvée. Exhibiting aromas of buttered pears, yellow orchard fruit and mirabelle plums, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless, with a satiny, giving profile that will make friends on release.
