The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a terrific introduction to this range from Buehler. Bright and punchy, the 2018 is so expressive, even in the early going. Black cherry, plum, mocha, spice, new leather and mint all race out of the glass as this beautifully delineated, mid-weight Cabernet shows off its inviting personality. I loved it.

Good focused red currant and bitter cherry fruit flavors are laced with savory and cedar notes, ending with a light mineral tang. Judicious toast lets it play out nicely. Drink now through 2026. 15,000 cases made.

The appellation 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley from this estate is a charming, forward, attractive wine with lots of meaty black cherry and blackcurrant fruit as well as notes of leafy herbs and earth, medium to full-bodied richness, and a soft, gulpable style on the palate. Enjoy bottles over the coming 4-5 years.
