Fabulous aromas of ripe and exotic fruit with crushed blackberries and coffee beans. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a reserved, fruity aftertaste. Pretty and delicious. A little more time will give you even more. This is a forgotten, delicious wine.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008. 9,500 cases made.

The 1995 is cut from the same mold as the 1996, except the 1995 possesses more accessible glycerin and fruit, as well as lower acidity. It offers a dense ruby/purple color, and an intense herb, pain grille, jammy blackberry and cassis-scented nose intertwined with wood-fire-like aromas. The wine is soft, round, and medium to full-bodied, with a sexy combination of glycerin, fruit, sweet tannin, and heady alcohol. It should drink well for 10-12 years.
