Origin Italy, Piedmont, Dolcetto d'Alba
Bright ruby red with deep purplish hues. Fresh, fruity, sweet and elegant perfumes strongly prevail. Expansive and warm entry, opening into a multitude of flavors traceable to a rich and concentrated wine. Naturally dominant fruit and vinous character leaving behind a lingering and pleasant aftertaste. In keeping with Langa tradition this wine is ideal with all courses of a meal. It is also perfect for snacks featuring cured meats and cheeses, or at the beginning of a meal, served with starters (other than fish) and sliced meats. Pasta, rice, soup and red meats, particularly when grilled, enhance its good body and pleasantly drinkable quality.

The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba is classy and elegant all the way. In 2019, the Dolcetto is not as rich or dark as it can be, but the 2019 more than makes up for that with its perfumed, silky personality. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, cedar and tobacco give this mid-weight Dolcetto lovely aromatic complexity and presence.

This red is saturated with black cherry and black currant flavors, showing earth and black pepper accents. It finishes with dusty, tactile tannins. Drink now through 2024. 2,500 cases made, 700 cases imported.

The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba focuses tightly on raw fruit, with forest berries and redcurrants. There are some secondary notes of bramble and rosemary essence, and you might pick up a subtle tone of crushed stone or aspirin. In all, this is a classic, albeit informal expression of Dolcetto to pair with an antipasto misto with cold cuts and local cheeses.
