Wines of Bordeaux France
“It is without question the best vintage since 2010,” said John Kolasa, négociant and managing director of Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux and Château Canon in Saint-Émilion.
"The 2014 growing season was one of the wettest on record, but was saved by two months of hot sunny weather between mid-August and mid-October, deemed a "miracle" by more than one local. Divine intervention may be overstating things a little, but the best wines are very good indeed. But so they should be, given the technical and viticultural resources available to the top châteaux and their willingness to select only their best grapes and lots." Tim Atkin MW
