Cune Imperial Reserva 2016
Deep cherry red in colour. The nose is attractive and complex, combining the fruit driven notes from the blend of varieties with those from the ageing in French and American oak barrels. The palate is well rounded, with the clear presence of supple, silky tannins and concludes with a long and very pleasing finish. We have here a wine which will evolve and develop well in the bottle over the years to come. In terms of food matching, our suggestions include oily fish, game, red meats and cured cheeses.
Deep, brilliant ruby. Cherry, cassis, vanilla and incense on the expansive nose, where a zesty mineral note adds vibrancy. Sappy and precise on the palate, offering sweet dark berry, cherry liqueur and violet pastille flavors along with hints of mocha and spicecake. Rich and ample in style but shows superb energy as well. Finishes sweet, seamless and extremely long, with lingering florality and polished, fully integrated tannins.
This solid red shows good concentration, with plum and currant flavors backed by espresso and loamy earth notes. Muscular tannins and balsamic acidity give this a firm backbone. Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha. Drink now through 2028.
