Harmand Geoffroy Gevrey Chambertin 2018
|Region||France, Burgundy, Gevrey-Chambertin|
There is an interesting hint of pepper to the otherwise ultra-elegant nose of pure essence of black pinot fruit that is laced with wet stone and floral hints, all of which is trimmed in a subtle but not invisible application of wood. The mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is equally refined and a stone character conveyed by the nose is present in force, particularly on the understated, balanced and harmonious finale. This is a powerful yet refined effort that possesses excellent depth and length. Like the Perrière this is worth considering.
