Bodegas Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva 2014
Prado Enea Gran Reserva is one of Rioja's flagship Gran Reservas, a wine that exemplifies the savory, developed nuance this classification is known for combined with the structure, fruit, freshness, acidity, and ageability of Rioja's greatest Gran Reservas from yesteryear.
More toasted spice, leather, savory herbs, chocolate, and meaty, gamey notes emerge from the 2014 Prado Enea Gran Reserva, a pure, medium-bodied, reserved, incredibly elegant Rioja that's drinking brilliantly today. It picks up some minty, floral notes with time in the glass and is just brilliant on the palate, with no hard edges. I'd be thrilled to drink bottles any time over the coming 15+ years or so.
Full-bodied, refined and powerful, with a luxurious texture, this red boasts glossy raspberry reduction, cherry and mineral notes, woven together with floral and spice accents and hints of tobacco and tea. Drink now through 2033. 5,500 cases made, 1,650 cases imported.
