Apaltagua Gran Reserva Envero 2017
Saucy berry aromas come with varietal aromas of green bean, fresh green herbs and tomato sauce. A tight, strict palate is a bit drying and drawn in, while this tastes spicy and of herbal berry and plum fruit, all of which is true to form for Carmenère. Tannic rub on the finish dries the cheeks.
The dried cherry and green olive flavors show good cut. Offers crisp minerality midpalate, featuring a finish filled with dried green herb notes. Drink now through 2020. 3,000 cases made, 250 cases imported.
