The only 2019 Gigondas presented, the 2019 offers a terrific bouquet of both red and black fruits as well as notes of sappy garrigue and spice, with an undeniably chalky minerality emerging with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's concentrated, has plenty of structure, and is built for the cellar. Hide bottles for 3-4 years and enjoy over the following decade.

Opaque garnet. Smoke-accented aromas of ripe dark fruit, licorice, pungent flowers and black pepper. Smooth and seamless in texture, offering pliant blueberry and bitter cherry flavors that show very good depth and building spiciness. Finishes long, spicy and supple, with just a hint of velvety tannins lending gentle grip. Made with one-third whole clusters.
